John Ward artist Mountain Workshop

Living Double from the Mountain Workshop

Sponsored by Western Kentucky University, the Mountain Workshops held their 43rd annual workshop in Mt. Sterling, Kentucky during the week of Oct. 22, 2018. In addition to the students participating in the program, WKU faculty members were joined by volunteer shooting, editing, and writing coaches who traveled from across the country to participate in the program.

John Ward was selected to be one of the stories for the workshop and worked with photojournalist Alexander Volberding. It was an exciting and interesting process to have John's life documented in photos including capturing John's life at work and home.
